Period Pain

The severity of menstrual cramps or period pain may vary from an individual to another. However, at times these may get worse and affect the woman’s normal activities for several days.

What Factors May Influence Period Pain?

What Should You Do In Case Your Symptoms Worsen?

  • Though period pain is a common thing every month, however, you need to make a conscious effort to keep yourself healthy during those days.
  • In case the pain gets worse, before popping pills, try some instant home remedies to get relief.
  • The pain may be accompanied with dizziness, fatigue, weakness and excessive bleeding. Though all of this is common and usually gets better after some time.
  • However, if the pain and cramping does not get better, make sure you see a doctor.

What Are The Available Treatment Options?

  • Your doctor may ask you questions regarding your diet and lifestyle habits. He may also prescribe you with relevant medications that could help to curb your pain such as painkillers and antispasmodics.
  • However, it is best to practice a healthy lifestyle to avoid these hormonal imbalances latter.
  • Make sure you exercise regularly for atleast 30-40 minutes in a day.
  • Eat healthy. Add nutrients rich foods, fruits, nuts and grains to your daily meal.
  • Do not skip meals while you are on your period.
