  • Your doctor may inspect you physically and suggest a few diagnostic tests such as a MRI scan.
  • Once the cause is known, the doctor may suggest you over the counter medications.
  • You may also be suggested to increase the intake of water (7-8 glasses of luke warm water) throughout the day.

Are There Any Natural Remedies For Headache ?

You can try these effective natural remedies to ease your symptoms:
1. Massage With Essential Oils
Ingredients: Peppermint Oil Lavender Oil
Ways to Use:

To a teaspoonful of peppermint or lavender oil, add almond oil or olive oil. Massage your temples with this mixture slowly.

2. Mint
Ingredients: Mint
Ways to Use:

Crush a handful of mint leaves to extract its juice. Apply this juice on the forehead and temples to treat headache. You may also choose to purchase mint juice/ oil and apply it on the affected areas.

3. Basil
Ingredients: Basil Water
Ways to Use:

To a cup of water, add a few leaves of basil. Boil it for a few minutes and sip it slowly. You may add honey to it. Alternately you may also choose to chew the basil leaves directly for instant relief.

4. Ginger (Adrak)
Ingredients: Ginger Water/ Tea
Ways to Use:

To a cup of water, add grated or powdered ginger. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes. Strain it and drink it frequently.


Headaches can be annoying and may also continue to be regular, however, remember when one hits you, fight it well the natural way. In a severe situation, when it gets worse, consider popping pills as the last resort.
