The Gixxer SF from the house of Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has launched the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 with its much awaited makeover. Introduced for the first time in 2019, with the new Gixxer design language, it has already created a wave among bike lovers in the country.

The engine remains the same as the outward-bound 155 cc Suzuki Gixxer SF, but there are notable upgradations made to the chassis, swingarm and overall proportions. Launched at a price point of Rs. 1,09,870 (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Suzuki Gixxer SF is approximately Rs. 8,000 more costly than its senior generation Suzuki Gixxer SF.

Here's What You Need to Know About The New 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF

The new design language is the key differentiator in the all-new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF even though it may seem similar to the new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. The new design incorporates a sharper bodywork with LED headlight and taillight. The chassis too has undergone changes along with a getting a new split seat.

Glossy colours like Glass Sparkle Black and a dual-tone colour in Metallic Sonic Silver with Glass Sparkle Black highlights are ruling the new 155 cc Suzuki Gixxer SF unlike its older generation 250 cc Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 that was only available in matte colours.

The single-cylinder engine is the same at 155 cc, SOHC, two-valve, air-cooled and fuel-injected unit which hikes out to a maximum of 8000 rpm, 13.9 bhp and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. Comparatively, the outgoing Gixxer SF had slightly more power at 14.5 bhp at 8000 rpm, and the same 14 Nm of peak torque at 6000 rpm. However, the 5-speed gearbox remains as a constant feature in the new model too.

The 155 cc engine adheres to the Bharat Stage IV (BS-IV) emission regulations, thus, keeping up with their high standards. Moreover, the grave wine says that the engine is anticipated to go through a round of upgradations sometime in the coming year. This is keeping in line with even more stringent BS-VI emission norms that is presumed to come into effect from April 2020.

The new Suzuki Gixxer SF has gained in weight from its older model and shares the upgraded chassis designed by the legendary GSX-R series engineers with the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.
