How Much Does A Trip Cost To Visit Germany

Travelling to Germany? But worried that it’ll take up your entire savings?  Don’t fret. We are here to help you plan your trip to Germany in a way that does not exceed your budget.

Travel Cost

The major chunk of your expense is going to be taken up by your travel cost. So, it’s wise that you plan your travel preferences wisely. For instance, your flight would cost you anywhere between Rs. 47900 to Rs. 124000 (economy) per person for a round trip depending on the destination you choose. So, to lower your travel expenses have a look at these money saving tips;

  • Compare ticket prices across various airlines and travel dates. You will find that tickets are considerably cheaper for weekdays.
  • In case you can afford spending more time then do not shy off from boarding long lay over flights. They are a huge money saver.
  • Metro, trams & buses are the cheapest and the most convenient form of transport when in Germany. Avoid travelling by a cab.
  • Opt for bus tours they are budget friendly and can enjoy the wonderful city tour at a normal cost of Rs. 2000.

With that being said, insure your entire trip as well by buying Germany travel insurance plan. Travel Insurance will be a lifesaver in the face of unforeseen mishaps in an unknown land.

Accommodation cost

Germany has tons of accommodation options depending on your budget.  You can choose to resort to back-packing hostels, camping sites, luxury hotels, Bed & Breakfasts or you can even rent a serviced apartment. However, hostels will cost you less usually somewhere between Rs. 1500 and Rs. 3000 per person. Apart from that if you want to spend your night in a fairytale castle it’ll cost you around Rs. 23500. However, beware of phony places and plan your stay wisely.

Food & Site-Seeing cost

Well we all live for food, don’t we? A dinner at a mid-range restaurant will cost you around Rs. 4000 for two people, but there are plenty of fine dining restaurants as well. Also, an alcoholic beverage (beer) will cost you between Rs. 400 to Rs. 600.  To know more about the food culture in Germany, click here.

As for sight-seeing, besides your usual castle visits and touristy exploring, you must head out to the various historical museums. And a good thing about them is that their entrance fees are reasonable, ranging between Rs. 700 to Rs. 1100 per person.

Now, that you know how much your trip is going to cost, when are you applying for your Germany tourist visa?
