Explore Nightlife In Hong Kong

If you are one who enjoys partying, clubbing and dancing, be prepared to fall in love with Hong Kong’s dazzling nightlife. A trip to Hong Kong won’t be complete if you don’t experience the city’s nightlife. Hongkongers sure know how to have fun. Their vivacious energy for hitting the night spots and partying hard is infectious.

Hong Kong has two main nightlife hubs – Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo. Depending on what suits your style of painting the town red at night, take your pick from our guide for the best nightlife spots in Hong Kong.

Lan Kwai Fong (LKF)

Lang Kwai Fong is Hong Kong’s most popular nightlife and entertainment hotspot. This hilly lane conveniently located in the Central area of Hong Kong can be easily reached. LKF is an area packed with over a 100 bars, restaurants and nightclubs. It is always crowded with night revellers, pub crawlers and the atmosphere here is high energy, wild and electric – with pulsating music by some of the best DJs, cheap drinks flowing, sheesha and more.

To really let loose the party animal in you, Lang Kwai Fong is definitely the place you should head to. And if you love to dance, it also has some of the best dance floors in Hong Kong. So get those dancing shoes on!

Go to Volar, a basement club voted as one of the top nightclubs in LKF. Some of the watering holes you must check out are Hong Kong Brewhouse that serves the best local brews and Dublin Jack which is an Irish pub.

If you’re the type who prefers to unwind by going out drinking with friends, enjoy some great music and maybe shake a leg or two but don’t really like it too wild, then SoHo is the place you’ll enjoy more.

Short for South of (So) Hollywood Road (Ho) this is the more sophisticated party and nightlife scene in Hong Kong with elegant bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The crowd here is more refined and you’ll get a more upmarket feel at the clubs, bars and restaurants here.

Varga Lounge in SoHo is a must-visit clubbing place in Hong Kong if you love everything retro – ambience, music, even the drinks. Or try Drop for the best house music. If you’re in the mood to dance, step into PLAY. The sprawling dance floor here is one of the biggest in Hong Kong. Or hang out at the champagne lounge to sip your favourite cocktails.

Once the music stops, SoHo has plenty of good restaurants offering various world cuisines where you can grab a bite.

You may be tempted to splurge while enjoying the nightlife at Hong Kong but keep in mind that Hong Kong is not a cheap holiday destination. Plan carefully for your vacation to Hong Kong and keep all documents ready well in advance. This includes your Hong Kong Visa, passport and travel insurance for Hong Kong. Travel insurance is necessary to cover you from any loss, damage, trip cancellation or medical emergencies. You can purchase international travel insurance from India from a reputed insurance company.
