Our multi-disciplinary team of graduate engineers have industrial work experience in different industrial segments and have also worked in premier loss prevention and risk management consultancy firms in India besides possessing qualifications in insurance, risk management and industrial safety. With members having nearly three decades of work experience and an expertise gained through the 5000 assignments they have carried out for a wide spectrum of industries ranging from refineries and petrochemicals to small scale engineering units they possess the necessary background which provides them an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the various risks to which an organization is exposed. This knowledge is used not only to effectively communicate with the underwriters the quality of the risks being surveyed but also to advise clients and prospects on the required risk mitigation measures that need to be taken. Additionally we also provide value added services for our clients by carrying out specialised consultancy studies that include – General Safety Audit, Fire Safety Audit, Electrical Safety Audit, Marine Loss Control Study, Flood Loss Control Study, Risk Management Study, Evaluation of Fire Protection Systems, Post Loss Surveys and study on Insurance Coverage - thereby being the first insurance company in Asia having an in-house risk engineering team that provides a very wide range of risk management consultancy services to its insured.

Promotion of risk management as a philosophy and business discipline

Promotion of risk management culture and philosophy amongst our insured / prospects does not merely end with consultancy studies and reports. We conduct follow-up surveys on implementation of recommendations and this has helped clients avoid future losses. We also provide free library and advisory services on issues related to safety and loss prevention as well as provide support in implementing risk control recommendations. Faculty support/ presentations in seminars organised by outside agencies, customer meets and meetings with brokers and intermediaries are other ways through which we disseminate knowledge related to safety and loss prevention. We are the first direct insurance company to start a quarterly technical news letter for free circulation to safety officers & risk managers across various industries, commercial establishments and the general insurance community in India & abroad. This initiative has been very well received with some feedback mail referring to this as a good showcase of our Corporate Social Responsibility.

Professional standards

Excellence in the area of pre acceptance surveys and reporting is achieved through enhanced use of various Information Technology tools like mapping of co-ordinates with GPS instruments, Use of satellite images, Munich Re Global Hazard mapping software and usage of data from BMTPC’s Vulnerability Atlas of India. Structured templates for Report writing, On-site performance and Report review are systems in place to help maintain professional standards which are supplemented by documented data sheets on occupancies as well as special hazards checklists. Professional standards of excellence in risk management are continually upgraded through sharing of risk information and best practices among AXA group entities in the Asia pacific region and access to global expertise from AXA Corporate Solutions. Nominations for national/ international seminars & training programs, In house training programs and Risk engineering team meets are used to constantly update our team’s knowledge base.
