
How to make a claim - Home Insurance

A Few Simple & Important Steps in case of a claim:
- Please attend to any bodily injuries first.
- Protect the property from loss to the extent possible.
- Please inform police, fire brigade wherever required and obtain a copy of FIR/fire brigade report.
- If required, please take photographs of loss items/articles
- Please immediately contact our toll free help line on 18001032292 in the event of any claim.
- Fill up the claim form that can be downloaded from our website.
- Co-operate with our surveyor/investigator for assessment of the loss.
Our Claims representative will contact you within 1 working day of the notification.
Things to Remember:
- Inform the police / fire brigade wherever required and obtain copy of the report.
- In case of bodily injury / death, obtain the medical reports from hospital / Disability Certificate issued by Civil Surgeon or equivalent as authorized by State Government / Death certificate and postmortem report whichever is applicable.
- Do not repair / dismantle the property before the company representative / surveyor’s inspection.
- Do not compromise / promise anything to any other person/entity without the consent of the company.
- You have a right to get relevant information about your claim and we will be pleased to assist you in this regards .
Documents Required:
- Claim form duly completed in all aspects and signed by the insured/claimant, providing a clear description of the occurence.
- FIR/ Final Police report in case of property damage or bodily injury or burglary.
- Copy of repair invoices, money receipts etc.
- For Personal Accident case- Medical reports / discharge summary / Disability Certificate issued by Civil Surgeon or equivalent as authorized by State Government / Post Mortem Report / Death Certificate whichever is required
- Autopsy and post-mortem report of the pet by a qualified veterinary surgeon, in the case of pet insurance.
